Our work brings us in touch with many disadvantaged and at-risk communities. Many of these lack the resources to install River Sentry's life-saving equipment. While the River Sentry team donates $$$,$$$'s worth of equipment each year, it is not enough to meet the demand.
Thankfully, we also have the honor of meeting many incredibly generous people who want to become part of the solution and help save the lives of these vulnerable communities. While River Sentry is not a charity organization, we are committed to stopping flash flood deaths permanently, and with community support, that becomes closer to a reality.
The River Sentry Community Sponsorship Program collects funds from generous donors and applies them to worthy projects that would otherwise go unfunded.

Disadvantaged Childrens Home in the Texas Hill Country
We have been working with a home for vulnerable children to provide a flood warning system for their home.
The camp is a 501c3 charity that works with foster care and privately placed children, young adults transitioning into adulthood, and single mothers of any age.
The equipment to protect the camp will cost $104,000. A generous donor has already committed $50,000 to the project.

Forever Home For Children With Profound Disabilities
Our hearts have been touched by a home not far from Austin Texas where their mission is to provide the best possible life for children and adults living with profound intellectual disabilities. They don’t exist to simply keep people alive, they exist to help them truly live.
River Sentry has already donated one RS-1A tower to this awesome non-profit, but we'd love to install another further upriver to give the children and staff more time to evacuate should the unthinkable happen.

Texas Neighborhood Devastated by July 2025 Floods
The area around Big Sandy Creek was devastated by the July 2025 floods. The river rose to unprecedented levels in the middle of the night, and 9 people were lost. 127 family homes were distroyed and 71 mobile homes were lost. Having visited the site, the River Sentry team has seen the devastation firsthand and how a whole community seems nearly forgotten in the scale of the tragedy.
A year later, there is still no system to prevent a repeat of the tragedy, so River Sentry developed a plan and is committed to installing 30 River Sentry towers as soon as funding can be secured, either publicly or privately. The project will cost $408,000. But rather than waiting, the team at River Sentry has already donated one tower, and as more funding comes in, we'll continuously add more towers until the system is complete.
